Doors are very special to me. Santa Fe has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to thresholds of all kinds. They are colorful, textured by weather and the passing of time, adorned by ristras and other locally inspired motifs. When in Santa Fe, you will see many doors, gates, and windows are dresses in teal, turquoise or blue. This tradition is meant to keep evil spirits away from the dwelling.

Doors to me, represent beginnings, endings, possibilities, the unknown. Doors already symbolize transition, metamorphosis, the passage from one place to another, the place between lightness and darkness or between states.
